Even though the footballer had not directed the message to anyone in specific, the Antalyaspor club said on it's website that after holding a board meeting, they had decided to leave Eto'o out of the club until further notice.
Some commentators have interpreted his remarks as a response to Antalyaspor Chariman, Ali Safak Ozturk because he had earlier criticized his performance.
"No player is above the interests of Antalyaspor. Everyone must know their place," the chairman was quoted as saying." said Ozturk.
