CHINA’s tech company Tencent has developed a mobile phone child–tracker using a Bluetooth embedded in wristwatch!

The device, called the QQ watch, looks much like other smartwatches on the market today. And can detect for a missing child through Bluetooth to a radius of up to 20 meters using GPS technology.
The good thing is that anyone in a specified WeChat group within that radius can join the search for missing kid and notify the child owners. The device is pretty rich in features considering it's built for kids. It offers a 1.12-inch 128 by 128 pixel OLED display, along with a 2G radio and even a 0.3 megapixel camera.

“Because of the fact that the device is built as a safety device for kids, it also includes an SOS button,” says Tech Times online journal. Despite using all those connectivity features, the device is said to last five days on a single battery charge. It charges through a magnetic connector.

The wristwatch, according to geekbuying.com, price is as low as 60 US dollars.

The QQ watch can make and receive calls easily through one button and add up to five family contacts and 16 friends on the app. The watch automatically syncs contacts. According to Tencent, WeChat had 697 million monthly active users by the end of December 2015.
